Feather Maracle

Feather Maracle is Mohawk through her Father, from the Mohawks of the Bay of Quite at Tyendinaga and Six Nations of the Grand River. She is Odawa & Pottawatomi through her Mother, from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, and was raised in both worlds. Her educational background is in socio-cultural anthropology and library science. Her professional background is the intersection point of Indigenous matters and librarianship. She currently is the the CEO and Director of Library Service for the Six Nations Public Library (6NPL), which is the oldest and largest First Nation public library in the world. Additionally, she sits as Chair or Member of several professional bodies, with representation locally (6 Nations/ON reserves), provincially, nationally, and internationally. She seeks to share and uplift authentic Indigenous Voices.
